At Tantalus Estate you can have your event at a stunning location just 35 minutes by ferry from central Auckland.

Just 15 minutes drive from the ferry terminal, nestled in the sheltered vineyards of Tantalus Estate, stands our beautifully designed building. It’s a remarkably flexible venue, easily able to meet different requirements.

Our main restaurant seats up to 200 guests, yet can also offer private areas for smaller groups.

Our private dining room welcomes 22 guests for a seated meal, or accommodates 50 for a cocktail function. We also have a secret space downstairs, which offers a peek into our Alibi Brewer’s Lounge.

If time permits, guests can stroll through the vines. The estate is home to a wealth of native trees, an olive grove, macadamia trees and an apiary.

Canapés anyone? Welcome to the conservatory, or the bright, expansive cellar door space.

Our dishes are rustic and refined with bold flavours, contrasting textures, and freshness. Our kitchen strives to use ingredients local to Waiheke Island and New Zealand, to give us fresh, seasonal and sustainable fare that complements our hand-crafted wines and beers.

The indoor-outdoor flow from the vineyard to the verandah and on into the main restaurant provides a seamless transition for our guests.

For a party style event, dance the night away inside the main dining area, or in the Alibi Brewer’s lounge.

For an unforgettable event, you need to talk to Mikalina.  She sailed into her position here at Tantalus from an exciting job managing events at The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron.  It’s been a huge challenge to set up our diverse events portfolio and Mikalina, our meticulous-attention-to-detail colleague has loved every minute of it.  You can’t help but feel the excitement that your special event creates.  Step by step the opportunities for your event will unfold, with careful consideration and contagious enthusiasm.  When she’s not planning your life, she’s head-over-heals in love with Waiheke Island’s serene bush-clad, coastal beauty, her six-minute commute to work,  – oh and of course with Henri, her fiancée, who lured her over to island life.
